We don't know much about hair here at PokerListings. But we do know mullets.
And we know this guy keeps coming back to the WSOP and taking Best Mullet honors year after year after year.
He was here in 2006. He was back in 2008 and has returned again, playing
cheat poker in the $1.5k NLHE Shootout and defending his mullet title in all of its
mullet glory.
We've seen a lot of changes at the WSOP since 2006, but it's comforting to know that some things are forever.
Especially glorious mullets.
P.S. If you are this dude, contact us so we can start tagging your pictures with your real name instead of "Glorious Mullet".
And don't ever change.
Ever.

The World Series of Not Poker
Well first of all, I'd like to thank my New York Yankees for taking a
little bit of the sweat out of the equation for me. I have $4,500
riding on the Yankees to win the World Series, and here's why:
1) The Yankees were nearly a 2:1 favorite to win the Series accordingto Vegas bookies (who seem to know how things will play out with scary/suspicious accuracy)
2) I have a ton of friends from South NJ and PA area who, for whatever reason, have decided to put themselves through the torture of being Phillies fans
3) I <3 $$$
The combination of these facts led to me doing the first significant sports betting of my life. Normally I bet sports very rarely, and when I do it's $20-$100 between friends just for shits and giggles. I've committed to never playing cheat poker table games, slot machines, the lottery, and anything else that's senselessly -EV and high variance since I started playing poker for a living.
However, I simply couldn't resist the temptation to let all of these poor, pathetic Phillie supporters let their sense of loyalty to their team mislead them into placing even money bets with me that team with two championships in its existence could beat the 26-time champion dynasty that is the New York Yankees.
While I was donating stack after stack in Sunday donkaments earlier, I took a lot of consolation in the fact that the Yankees managed to take a 3-1 lead in the Series.
And it was a good thing, too, since I mincashed two tournaments out of the thirty I played and was only able to squeeze ~$500 out of the Lock cash games.
But in all seriousness, it has been a hard fought Series. I honestly didn't expect to see the Phillies put up such a fight in defense of the title. And although the Yankees need to win just one more game out of 3, it's not over yet.
But with that being said, my offer still stands to those who have bets against me that you can buy out for 99% by calling me at 1-800-GOT-OWND.
I'd also like to disappoint all of the Vegas bookies reading this (do any Vegas bookies read my blog? if they do, I wonder why...but then again I wonder why anyone reads it!) by saying that I won't be trying to parlay these winnings with more sports betting if the Yankees do win marked cards.
I'll just blow it on travel expenses, taxes, and my girlfriend like I do with the rest of my money!
Also, after a random last minute decision partially fueled by the fact that my 13th place finish at Bellagio last week left me hungry, I'll be heading to the largest and most depressing damn casino in the country: Foxwoods.
Booked a one wayflight on Wednesday for the $10k WPT
main event on Thursday and will be catching the next flight back out of
that miserable POS as soon as I'm done there. Wish me luck!

Battle of Malta Day 1b Set to Go
It’s the second starting day of the 2013 Battle of Malta and after a massive Day 1a we’re expecting an even bigger one today.
Considering yesterday saw a total of 417 entries, that’s certainly saying something. We could hit luminous contactlenses 450 entries today.
Day 1b begins at 14:00 today and the halls of the Portomaso Casino are already rife withpoker players.
Dan “jungleman12” Cates, Ashton Griffin and Naoya Kihara are among the noted players expected to take to the felt today.
Stay tuned as we chronicle what could very well be the biggest tournament ever held in Malta.

BOM Champ Returns to Defend his Title
Retired Italian doctor Nicodemo Piccolo may not be the most
illustrious champion in the history of poker but he’s the only one we’ve
ever had at the Battle of Malta.
Last year Nicodemo Piccolo outlasted 349 marked cards contactlenses players to take down the inaugural Battle of Malta crown for €35,000.
We wondering if he would return to defend his title and indeed he is. We found him on table seven in one of the corners.
Apparently Piccolo nearly didn’t come after some bad luck a tournament in Nova Gorica. Finally he decided he couldn’t miss the Battle of Malta.
Should Piccolo find a way to repeat he’ll get a much bigger prize at the end as there are already over 800 entries in the 2013 edition.

Luca Moschitta, Nicolau Villa-Lobos Hit the Rail
There’s usually an after-dinner rush of eliminations and this year’s Battle of Malta is no exception.
Noted pros Luca Mosschitta and Nicolau Villa Lobos marked cards have both taken their leave of this tournament and are off to check out what Malta has to offer.
They’re not the only ones as the bustouts have been fast and furious over the last hour.

Battle of Malta’s Gigantic Day 1b Concludes
The massive 2013 Battle of Malta continued on Day 1b with another record-setting day.
There were a total of 471 entries today, which brings the overall total up to an astounding 888 marked cards players.
That’s a new record for the Battle of Malta, by a large margin, and also a new record for the country of Malta.
While we won’t receive official payout information until tomorrow we’ve heard that a total of 99 players will get paid with around €80,000 allotted for first place.
There were also a ton of big names hitting the felt today with Naoya Kihara, Sofia Lovgren, Kara Scott, Pierre Neuville, Luca Moschitta, Nicolau Villa-Lobos and Sam Holden in on the action.
Three members of The Dudesons also showed up and while Jarno and HP busted their teammate Jukka had a massive day finishing with 106,000 chips.
There were plenty of eliminations on Day 1b with a total of 330 hitting the rail in short order. Dan Cates, Nicodemo Piccolo, Kara Scott, Pierre Neuville, Nicolau Villa-Lobos and Sam Holden were among the players who fell.
Norwegian Roar Aspas appears to be the chip leader with just over 275,000 but we’ll havecomplete chip counts later this evening.
All of the 251 remaining players will meet here tomorrow at 1 p.m. local time and attempt to get close to a final table.

Hoyt Corkins' Vegas home burglarized
Lucky at the poker tables doesn't necessarily translate to lucky in other parts of a person's life. Or so Hoyt Corkins learned recently when his Las Vegas home was burglarized while he was out of town.
Las Vegas Now reported yesterday evening that Corkins' friends discovered the burglary over the weekend, but it's possible the actual crime took place earlier in the month since Corkins has been out of town.
The thieves had plenty of time to find a way to get into the gated and guarded community where Corkins home is located in Las Vegas and take two cars, a motorcycle, electronics marked cards and at least $10,000 in cash.
The team of thieves cut a hole through a wall in the garage to gain entry into the home.
Corkins told Las Vegas Now reporter Aaron Drawhorn that the estimated losses are well over $100,000.
Perhaps the most personal loss is Corkins' World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour gold bracelets though.
The Doyles Room sponsored pro had two WSOP bracelets, one from his 1992 win in the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event, and the other from his 2007 win in the $2,500 Six-Handed No-Limit Hold'em event. He also had a WPT bracelet for his 2003 World Poker Finals win.
The thieves took the bracelets but left the stands they were on and went through every room looking for other potential hidden treasures, according to Corkins.
Another news source reported the thieves even went so far as to remove an entire safe from the pro infrared marked cards poker player's home.
The burglars didn't stop with just the possessions in Corkins' home either. They also stole his identity. Las Vegas Now reported that someone who broke into the house also used Corkins' office phone to obtain a credit card in Corkins' name.
The Las Vegas Police Department have dusted for prints; however, the burglars had sprayed everything they touched with a substance to prevent the police from getting fingerprints.
Corkins told the media he believes he was targeted because he was going to be away from home for an extended period of time. He doesn't believe it was done by people he knows in the poker world, but it could have been friends of someone in that circle or someone who just overheard something.

Dennis Phillips donating logo spot for charity
Although the final table of the WSOP Main Event won't take place until the second week of November, Dennis Phillips is already a winner in the minds of the people at the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Phillips, who is the chip leader heading into the final table of the WSOP Main Event, announced last week that he will donate a prime logo spot on his jersey, with all proceeds going to the MS Society.
Starting last Thursday companies and individuals have been able to bid on eBay for logo placement on the shirt Phillips will wear as he attempts to become the 2008 WSOP Main Event champion. As of 1 p.m. PDT the bidding has already reached $13,000, although it's likely to go much marked cards higher.
Phillips, a longtime supporter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, became involved in the fight against MS when his brother was diagnosed with it over 10 years ago.
"Being on the final table of the WSOP is an opportunity of a lifetime, but we hope that this opportunity will one day save someone's life," said Phillips.
Hailing from St. Louis, Mo., Phillips surprised many when he outlasted 6,836
infrared contactlenses players and then made a serious drive to finish atop the chip counts on the last day of the 2008 Main Event before the final table. Phillips finished with $26 million chips, which is two million more than nearest competitor Ivan Demidov.
Phillips is currently sponsored by PokerStars.com and has already donated money to a number of causes since reaching the final table, including the Pajuols Foundation. One percent of his winnings will also be going to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
"We are thrilled to be a part of such an exciting promotion that will ultimately help us continue to move toward a world free of MS," said Phyllis Robsham, president of the Gateway Area Chapter of the MS Society. "The awareness and funds raised through Dennis' effort will help us to continue our work for the over 6,000 people living with MS in our area."
The WSOP final table will take place on Nov. 9 with the nine remaining players battling for their share of $32 million. If you'd like to check out the bidding on Phillips' logo spot, or even make a bid yourself, just click here.
